Hanin is a 19-year-old Iraqi woman. Being a refugee is all she’s ever known. She came to discover NEF through her mother’s association with local community organizations. Like many refugees, Hanin has skills which earn money but only needs a little business and marketing training to really take advantage of these to make a living. Hanin applied for this and for cash assistance through NEF’s Enhancing Economic Resilience program, a US State Department-funded project.
