NEF (Near East Foundation) is responding to the immediate and urgent needs of ten of thousands of children and families who have fled their homes and are now living in schools and parks, or are trapped in houses without electricity, running water and unable to meet basic needs for food, medical assistance and hygiene.

NEF has teamed up with 7 long-time partner Lebanese organizations well located in the most hard hit areas to provide immediate logistics and outreach. Our first priorities are food, medicine, first aid & hygiene kits, sleeping bags -- particularly for children, the elderly, and women.

NEF will accept in-kind donations of large quantities of water, shelter, food, blankets, medicines, medical supplies (e.g. first aid kits) and other relief supplies. NEF is closely monitoring this rapidly changing situation and will expand relief to other communities in the region…if our financial resources permit.
